DRI Sleeper Excel - Bedwetting Alarm for Children
Stacy B. (Washington, United States)
Works as advertised!

I bought this after trying many other methods to help my daughter stay dry at night. My daughter was also frustrated and eager to try this and I was impressed with how quickly it worked. The first couple of nights, the alarm woke me before it woke her, but I was able to get her to
The bathroom. After that, she had a couple more alarms that she woke to in the early morning and after another week with no alarms, she decided to go without it and has been dry through the night since!! My daughter’s issue was that she is such a sound sleeper, she would not rouse when she experienced the discomfort of a full bladder. The alarm helped her brain make the connection and respond normally. I am so pleased that this worked and have already recommended it to other parents struggling with this issue. Thank you!!

Congratulations on getting bedwetting sorted!

Amazing

Amazing my son has had seven dry nights in a row

That's great progress!

The alarm purchased works very well. It is very loud and would wake most people from sleep. However it doesn't wake my son. We will continue to use it in the hope that it will eventually help us achieve the desired effect.

I will email you some strategies you can use to help him wake.

Hallelujah!

My son (10 years) had fantastic success with the alarm. First night of use the alarm woke him up after wetting the bed. On the second night, he woke up when the alarm went off with only minimal leakage. As of the third night he has been completely dry and holding all night until the morning. He is absolutely over the moon. This product is easy to use and solved the issue for us almost immediately. Can’t speak highly enough of this product.

Bed alarm

Not working for us, yes bed is dry most nights but alarm is walking him in time before wetting bed.I had hoped after the 60 days we would not need the alarm

I think it is positive you are getting dry nights, this is typically a gradual process so its important to celebrate the smaller wettings, fewer wettings during the night and of course dry nights. There are strategies I can suggest that might help tip the balance for you. Please reach out if would like some guidance.

Happy parent

10 painful nights and we have success!! After trying many things and giving up and hoping my son grew out of it, he wasn’t confident to have sleepovers with friends and would avoid the chance to go on camp because of it. Thought it give another crack at it coming upto good 9th birthday, he’s a very deep sleeper and sleeps through everything and has never had a dry night but to my surprise he woke up, needed some assistance some times and other times we had stand offs as he wanted to go back to bed but oh so worth it! Only 2 slip ups in 3 months now!

Great result for Mr 9 - congratulations! All the best for the future.

Bed wetting alarms

As bed wetting runs in our family I am used to using these sorts of devices. I found getting the sensor in the correct position took a little trial and error on my part. But I did like the second alarm to wake up the parent because I am also a deep sleeper. She has gone seven days without setting the alarm off so fingers crossed I think the penny has dropped. Device is working well and has helped my daughters confidence. She is seven years of age.

So pleased this is helping your daughters confidence and progress is happening for her.

Wish we had bought one sooner!

Great product, we have been using for 3 weeks and my 9y/o has been dry the last 7 nights. This is unheard of in our house, he has always been an every night bedwetter. Positioning is key and we’ve found using a smaller size (tight) pull-up does the trick.

Progress is being made, well done! Thanks for the tip on using smaller size pull-ups.

Very happy

This product helped my daughter finally achieve dry nights. She recently turned 10, and was getting quite upset that she still wet the bed. She is a very deep sleeper, however the alarm on this woke her everytime. We still had accidents for the first 5-7 nights using this product, but after that the alarm would wake her before the sheets even got wet. Within two weeks she was either sleeping through the night and staying dry, or waking up to use the toilet. All up we used the product for about 3 weeks. I wish i had bought this product sooner! The wireless feature is great too, as you dont have to worry about accidentally pulling wires.

It can be challenging for deep sleepers, so well done to you all for getting bedwetting sorted. We wish her all the best for the future.

Amazing results

So happy that we purchased this for our 10 year old. We made sure we followed the instructions properly and it has worked in a few short weeks. My son was nervous about the sound of the alarm but now that he is fully dry I asked him if he wishes he tried it earlier and he said yes. The biggest thing is getting them motivated to want to be dry.
We also turned the alarm sound down so it didn't wake everyone up.
Definitely recommend this product!

Well done to you both!

Good Equipment Spotty Results

I purchased the Eclipse alarm for my son because he was using up multiple alarm bed pads from another bed wetting program. I purchased this as a wireless more durable alternative. It has worked pretty well, but there are occasions when the sensor does not trip the alarm though it is wet and was synched. We also followed the specific steps recommended for training a heavy sleeper to wake and go to the bathroom. Results are limited or slow at best. My son still wets the bed nightly. and we've been using the alarm for roughly 50 days. Hoping for breakthrough but just not sure it will happen.

Thanks for contacting us. I have provided some suggestions for improving performance of the sensor and some strategies that may help with progress. Please let me know how you get on.

Excellent product and results

This worked exactly as it was meant to and we had great results within only a few weeks after years of trying other tricks. The only disappointment is the sensor if the battery goes (which it hasn't so far in two months) the whole thing needs replacing.

So pleased this worked for you after trying for so long.

The urosensor is a sealed unit to keep urine out but has a long-life battery which lasts well beyond the typical treatment period. The base unit contains a Panasonic CR2345 battery which can be replaced. If you are unable to open your base unit to replace the battery, please contact me.

Less washing but still wetting

The alarm works as it should do in terms of functionality.
It's very loud and will often wake our 6 year old, although we still have to help wake him when he is in a very deep sleep.
Luckily his younger sibling sleeps through it. It's almost as if he knows the alarm is not for him!
The alarm seems to help stop our 6 year old having a big wetting accident as it wakes him before he soaks the sheets, so we have definitely benefited from less washing as he only wets his undies and pj's before he wakes.
We are, however, still experiencing 2-3 wakes a night with the alarm.
It is 6 weeks in and there doesn't seem to be an improvement yet in term of waking himself or experiencing fewer wake ups.
We are sticking with it for 12 weeks, as advised by our GP before they refer to a paediatrician.
It's incredibly hard for our 6 year old as his younger sibling has been dry at night for nearly a year.
Hoping to see a significant improvement in the next 6 weeks.
Unfortunately we are not one of the lucky families who have experienced dry nights after 2-3 weeks.

Sorry to hear you aren't seeing improvement yet. However, it is early days! A bedwetting alarm may take up to 12 weeks (or more in some cases) and expect improvement to be gradual rather than all of a sudden. I have emailed some strategies to you that I think will help.

Large, multiple wettings may also indicate that he doesn't yet produce enough of the hormone that slows down urine production during sleep. This is usually remedied by time, although there are medications that help with this. At age 6, it isn't usually considered urgent to solve bedwetting unless it is important to the child. Good luck & please let me know if you have any questions

Not working

Unfortunately this device does not work for my 7 year old. He sleeps through the alarm and when I try and wake him he refuses to get up and go to the toilet anyway.

The key to helping your deep sleeper wake up to the alarm on their own is what DRI Sleeper calls the Priming Practice. It can also help if a parent is able to sleep in their room to help gently wake them. This is done for the first week or two. There are also other strategies you can use to power up night toilet training such as recall, visualisation and progress charts - I will email you instructions. Please let me know how you get on.

Finally something that works! (7yo male)

We have tried so many different strategies with our 7 year old son and none have really stuck (either he didn’t really believe in them or didn’t see sustained results). From the first day he got this alarm, he has ‘owned’ it and embraced it. We got results very quickly and that has encouraged him further, resulting in sustained dry nights.
Great value, works well and also great support (instructions, suggestions etc). Really happy.

Success

It did what was needed. The end product was a success and my 10 yr old no longer needs diapers! Would give it 5 stars but the cost of the system is too high. I won't complain because of the positive outcome.

Congratulations on a successful outcome!

Storm before the calm is worth it

Hi guys
It’s been 2 months and we’ve just had 2 dry nights in a row.!!! Might not sound like much but after 2 wet bed changes every night this is AMAZIBG.
The alarm allowed us to collect information of when our child was wetting the bed (turns out always during rem sleep!).
Our son hated the alarm noise and really didn’t want to use the alarm - if it could be something that’s easier to slip Into pants or ?
2 nights ago our son was tossing and turning … sat up, went to child’s pose then back down again. Then he got up, went to the toilet, came back to bed and went back to sleep! ….. he hates the sound of the alarm sooo much that he got up!!!!

Great alarm

We tried another alarm before this one but it stopped working after a while. This alarm is much more sturdy without being bulky. It is also very loud so it is better at waking our deep sleeper. We’ve also found the troubleshooting advice very helpful. Very pleased with this purchase, would highly recommend.

Great product

Worked really well. No wet nights after a week. Love it

Great progress!

We are seeing improvement, a smaller device would be more comfortable to use.

Great that you are seeing improvement. For more comfort, perhaps try a different placement method? If inserted in diaper or pad, usually can't be felt. See the videos here: https://dri-sleeper.com/pages/dri-sleeper-client-support#placement

Dry nights!

We had tried multiple alarms and since getting this one we have had a great deal of success and he’s still improving! Worth every cent!

So pleased you are enjoying success. All the best for the future.

Okay... but not there yet

The alarm is definitely loud!! We are down the other end of the house and it wakes me up!
But, it isn't quite the miracle cure I'd hoped. My daughter is down to 1-2 wet nights a week, which is an improvement.... but not there yet. I'll give it another month and hopefully she will get there. For my own sleep quality!!

It is good that some progress is being made. If you would like some additional tactics to try, please let us know.

Review

It's hard to say how it's going at the moment. We started off well but then the battery ran out. So had to wait a few days whilst I ordered some new ones as the battery type was hard to locate in my local area. Now we're back into the swing of it and no 2 days have been the same. My son is still sleeping though the alarm on occasions - even at full volume! We've been on the journey now for a good few weeks. I'm going to keep going with it. We do play the Pre record, but he's also having enough of that, so I need to be mindful of how that's affecting things.

Glad you are back up and running. Amazon can be a good option if looking for batteries. If he is still sleeping through, maybe try the priming practice again and consider a Progress Diary and Codeword to keep him engaged. https://dri-sleeper.com/progressdiary
