After trying everything we could think of we finally decided an alarm was the next step. We had one accident the first week and have now been dry of coming up 8 weeks. I would highly recommend the DRI Sleeper
Congratulations! That is a great result. All the best for the future.
We have a very deep sleeping 5 year old. Wet every single night, but refuses to wear pullups. After we talked to her about this product, we decided to try. After the first week, it seemed like a mistake because the alarm would go off so loudly and wake everyone in the house except for her! We were all so exhausted during the beginning. After a week, she started to wake up/be coherent when the alarm would go off in the middle of the night, and then wake up dry in the morning. It definitely boosted her confidence. On the 11th night she made it all the way through, but we didn't start seeing big improvement until the 3rd full week of using the alarm (she'd be turning off the alarm before I got to her room vs sleeping through it). She almost made it 14 days of being dry, but we had to start over again after a few wet nights. Then after successfully completing 14 consecutive dry nights, we stopped using the alarms. Total time spent from start to finish was 9 full weeks. She's had a few wet nights since we finished, but very rarely. Extremely refreshing since she was wet every single night for so long! She's very proud of herself, and we're happy to have way less laundry to do!
That is a great effort! Well done for perservering and getting bedwetting sorted :)
The alarm arrived the day before we left for a camping trip and it definitely saved us from having to wash a sleeping bag every night. The alarm went off with no issues and we were able to wake up our son and take him to the toilet. Sometimes needing a fresh nappy but others the alarm had gone off with the first drops so essentially still dry. Previously when waking our son to go to the toilet during the night he would refuse but the alarm seemed to trigger a better response where he was happy enough to do it. He is now going through a dry phase which he does periodically so we will keep the alarm handy for if he goes backwards. Definitely recommend trying this as it worked perfectly for us.
We are so please that worked for him. All the best for the future. If he does go back to wetting, you could use the alarm and the overlearning strategy to resolve it.
This made my child more conscious. She now gets up by herself. No more bed wetting after couple of uses. I highly recommend this product.
Congratulations! All the best for the future.
My 5yo went from having accidents nightly to sleeping dry in 4 weeks! So happy we tried this before taking alternative action. Hard work in the first few days to wake them and sleep in the same room, but absolutely worth it
That is a great result. Well done.
My review:
This product is not the best, as sometimes the alarm may not go off. In addition, whilst sleeping - deep asleep - it is hard to wake up. I recommend adding a vibration on the alarm located inside his/her/their pants. My point is, that it is hard for deep sleepers to be woken up.
Thanks for the feedback. Please let me know if you would like further guidance on helping deep sleepers and optimising the alarm triggering.
My son is 7 now and is wanting to stop having to wear diapers at night. He has never had this many dry nights in a week! While he still has nights that aren't dry he has had way more dry nights than he's ever had and we are so thankful! Highly recommend!
Keep up the good work! Sounds like excellent progress is being made.
The alarm is easy enough to use, and the best thing, it did work! It took a couple of weeks but eventually we are finally seeing dry nights (age 7, never had proper dry night before). Alarm is quite loud, no way you wont hear it from another room.
The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that its not too easy to keep in pants. I wish they sold some over-pants with pocket or something, as few times it fell off. Also, very sensitive so if the child sweats it triggers the alarm. Especially now that its warmer we cant use it... Hope it did the job by now so we can just stay dry without
It's good that you are seeing some dry nights, it is important to celebrate progress! There are some different ways to place the sensor that might help, watch the videos here https://dri-sleeper.com/pages/dri-sleeper-client-support#placement. Thanks for the feedback about the pants.
We’ve tried pretty much everything with our son, and this is the the one that has worked the best - by far! We’ve tried all sorts of alarms and pads but the results with this have been tremendous! Still working toward a full 2 weeks but we had 26 out of 30 dry nights in April - a massive leap forward!
That is great progress! We hope you are celebrating 14 dry nights very soon.
It’s been hard getting to a stage of having it functioning properly, where to place it ,how much padding to have around it fir it to absorb. My boy is a very very deep sleeper.I’m not sure to continue with the unit or not.
Deep sleep is common for bedwetters and there are effective strategies for helping deep sleepers overcome bedwetting which I have emailed to you. To stay motivated, it can be helpful to identify small improvements along the way, such as reduced volume, fewer wets during the night and hopefully soon some dry nights will occur as well. Please call or email if you would like to discuss this further.
The child used the device for 3 weeks and requested to not wear pullups anymore. A few more days and he requested to not wear the device and hasn't wet the bed since.
It is a little cumbersome to set up each night but it pays for itself.
It is great he is out of pullups already! Well done.
Thanks for reaching out. I’m happy to report that our son is on his 4th dry week in a row. He is so happy with himself and we are happy for him. He has school camp coming up in a week or so and he was adamant he wasn’t going. Now he’s so excited he’ll be able to join in.
Thank you so much. I never believed it would have been so quickly resolved. I wish we had done it sooner. We understand he might have a relapse but we feel confident in tackling that if it does.
Hope he had a great time at school camp. We wish him all the best for the future!
I was quite nervous about trying the bed wetting alarm with our 7 year old son. He has never been dry at nights but he also still has daytime accidents, so I wasn’t sure how successful it would be. My son really wanted to try it. The 1st night he wet 3 times. Then a week of wetting twice each night. Day 9 he had his first ever dry night! We are just about to start week 7 and we have had 25 dry nights so far! When we do have a wet night now it’s only usually a tiny bit of wee in his undies, not the soaking wet bed and clothes we used to get. We’ve got to 6 dry nights in a row twice, which has been amazing. We had a couple of nights early on when the alarm didn’t go off - think it was maybe interference from a baby monitor we had. We started by trying the sensor in a pad technique, but we prefer the between 2 undies method. Definitely recommend having a plastic sheet between the mattress protector and the sheet - particularly for those first couple of weeks. Appreciate the reading resources online - they were really helpful.
It is great he has has so many dry nights and is showing so much improvement. Well done! Thanks for your feedback will be very helpful for other parents!
I highly recommend DRI Sleeper Eclipse for any families with older children who are still in nappies at night. This alarm really works! We used this for my 9 year old and after about a month, we are now completely dry at night and his confidence has soared. It's so sensitive, that you and your child can sleep easy knowing for sure that if the alarm hasn't gone off, they are dry. What I also loved was the website, which has so much helpful supporting information. Thank you DRI Sleeper!
It is great to hear that his confidence has improved, a great result! We wish him all the best for the future.
This worked really well for my just-turned-6 year old daughter. I was a bit sceptical, but after never having had a dry night, she was dry in about 3 days with no accidents after about 10 days. She was obviously ready, but this was the trigger she needed to help learn how to stay dry at night.
So glad this worked for her. All the best for the future!
We got this for our almost 7 year old that had not had a single dry night. She were excited to try it out and the results I still struggle to believe.
Night 1: the alarm went off and the nappy was wet, I took her straight to the toilet, but nothing extra to do.
Night 2: the alarm went off, only a little bit in the nappy, as we quickly went to the toilet where she finished the rest.
Night 3: the sensor wasn’t in the right spot, so we had a wet night
Night 4: the alarm went off, and pretty much the same as night 2
Night 5: she got up (maybe an hour after going to bed) and went to the toilet, a few times as she really didn’t want that alarm going off. I can’t remember how the rest of the night was (if it was dry or not)
Night 6: she started making extra efforts to get up and go to the toilet at bed time and just after, she then also started waking in the night to go, and she hasn’t had a wet night since.
We kept her in a nappy and got rid of the brolly sheet after a few more days, and then after about 2-3 weeks, ditched the nappies/pull ups.
I can’t believe how quickly this sorted an issue we’d had for so long.
Wish I’d tried this years ago
She has done really well to get bedwetting sorted so quickly. All the best for the future!
Thanks! Great to hear :)
Congratulations on his rapid success!
Our beeper stopped working and that is so disappointing.
Our school age son isn’t dry through the night yet, but progress is being made. Prior to this he was in pull ups. He is a very deep sleeper so this is what’s holding him back. He’s gone from wetting and soaking sheets multiple times a night to either dry through till morning or just one alarm and slightly damp pants but no need to change the bedding as he must be stopping himself until we wake him and get him on the toilet. The support team at DRI are great I emailed a query for tips and they got right back with help so I think this will be helpful in making progress to no alarm. The product is great and I believe for a non deep sleeper this would work for sure, it is very loud and I don’t know how my son sleeps through it as it is like a fire alarm. I deducted 1 star for cost reasons as it was an expensive purchase.
Pleased to hear progress is being made. Have you tried the Priming Strategy before bed? Priming can be a great way of helping deep sleepers learn to wake unaided however as long as you wake him, it will still work.
We hope the cost savings on pullups will far outweigh your investment in the alarm.
Purchased this for my 8-year old who has never been dry at night. In just about a month we went from multiple wettings each night to being totally dry. The first few weeks were really tough and it was hard to not get discouraged but then everything just clicked and he has now been dry for over two weeks! I honestly didn't think anything would work and am so, so happy to be proven wrong!
We are so pleased it has clicked for your eight-year-old. Well done for persevering when it was tough. All the best for the future.
Took my 6.5yo child just under a week to get the hang of getting up before the alarm went off, and now we’re just finishing our first completely dry fortnight. Such a gamechanger! Our 4yo is keen to try it next. We inserted the device between two pairs of undies, followed by a Pull Up over the top (I didn’t want to be washing sheets constantly). So easy to use. Worth every penny!
Congratulations on getting bedwetting sorted! That is a very clever placement strategy, thanks for sharing :)
Could not be happier with this alarm as well as the step by step manual. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
My son is 9 and was wetting the bed every single night… her started using the dri sleeper and after about 3 weeks of it waking him up every night he now has gone 18 nights in a row with no accidents at all!! This thing has been a god send!! Don’t hesitate!! Give it a try now
He has done really well getting through 18 dry nights. Top effort!
